PINZ has more than 2,000 members throughout the country and the world, with branches throughout the country.
Members can opt to belong to specific communities that focus on property specialities, such as property management, or consultation and these groups have an opportunity to request and design their own relevant & real world CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

Over the past couple of years we have been expanding the suite of professional education on offer, which we continue to refine and improve.
This year we will be hosting nearly 50 CPD sessions that include face-to-face seminars and online modules or ‘webinars’. The topics are drawn from consultation with members, while maintaining a focus on current events and the most recent industry developments.
Alongside its more formal education sessions PINZ offers a range of social events that provide members with an opportunity to network with other property professionals working in their regions and around New Zealand.
There are regular functions at branch level, while PINZ National office hosts monthly keynote events with top flight speakers on topical subjects. Recent speakers have included Deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett and well-known economists like Tony Alexander.
The PINZ annual conference attracts hundreds of property professionals over three-days and includes a black-tie awards ceremony honouring the industry’s best.
PINZ also offers a range of post nominals and registration for senior members who are high achievers in their field. They allow the public to easily identify them as experienced, trusted property practitioners who maintain high standards, and follow a proven ethical code of conduct.
As a member of PINZ you will also have the opportunity to take part in the Property Industry Quality Assurance (PIQA) scheme, that will let you know if the work you are doing is best practice and areas where you may be able to improve. Those who complete the PIQA process can use the PIQA logo to show they take quality assurance and customer service seriously.

This is presented in a host of different ways, including electronically by way of our website, our blogsite, in email newsletters, and in our quarterly glossy magazine ‘Property Professional’ which is provided free to all PINZ members and distributed widely among opinion shapers, and other leaders in the industry.
Members are invited to contribute items of interest and regularly featured in this high quality publication.
You also receive access to the Australia & New Zealand Valuation Standards, as well as a wealth of case law and notes collated over the history of the institute. Members are also entitled to free use of the library of physical books and journals held at the head office in Wellington.
