In Susan’s role as Agricultural Economist for ANZ she is responsible for research on New Zealand’s primary sector. She also covers sustainability as this is increasingly becoming an integral part of the success of our primary sector businesses.
Susan took on her current role with ANZ Bank in October 2018, having been previously employed by ANZ as a graduate earlier in her career. Prior to rejoining ANZ Susan was at NZX where she headed up a team of agriculture analysts and was involved with launching the dairy derivatives market, including the milk price future and options products.
The research Susan produces for ANZ is disseminated through a variety of mediums including the Agri Focus publication which covers dairy, sheep, beef, deer, forestry, arable and horticulture.
Susan studied Agricultural Economics at Massey University. She was raised on a dairy farm in Taranaki and now lives with her partner and two children on a small sheep and beef farm in Martinborough.
